i’m aware that this is boring but i swear it’s the most interesting thing we do in school now. till the june holidays.

a breakdown of what we did that day: we tested the acidity of different substances with the universal indicator and litmus paper. apparently the warmer colours (red, orange, yellow) indicate that the substance is acidic and cooler colours (blue, violet) indicate that the substance is alkaline. only the substances with a neutral pH will result in a greenish colour. i didn’t know all this beforehand, but i knew chemistry is pretty beautiful.
